About Microban Coating

Microban Anti–Bacterial Finish. A picture showing the molecular structure of Microban. We promote new concepts that will benefit our clients. One of these is the provision of panels specially coated with Microban anti bacterial finish.

Microban is the way forward for our clients. Microban antibacterial technology is effective in inhibiting the growth of and in killing common food borne and odour-causing bacteria.

Microban additives have been demonstrated to be effective in reducing levels of bacteria such as Salmonella spp., E. Coli O157 and Listeria Monocytogenes over time, by over 99.9%, even at low concentrations within the product surface being tested.

Microban – a highly effective against all forms of bacteria

Microban technology is highly effective against a wide range of bacteria. The technology is built into the product at the manufacturing stage. Enough Microban additive is incorporated to ensure continuous protection throughout the lifetime of the product. It is present and effective throughout the product, even in hard to clean areas. Even when Microban additive is removed from a solid surface during abrasion, new molecules of additive quickly migrate from the body of the material to the surface to ensure constant antibacterial effectiveness.

Free from heavy metals and chlorine Microban technology works in harmony with your panels and working environment. When microbes come in contact with the product surface, Microban protection penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism and disrupts cell functions making the microorganism unable to function, grow and reproduce.

The active ingredient in Microban is Triclosan, a product that has been used in toiletries and cosmetics such as toothpaste and soaps for over 30 years and has full EEC and FDA food contact approval.
