Application
Mineral Wool core insulated panels are a Fire Rated Insulated Panel suitable for use in all hygienic and temperature controlled or ambient environments, where the temperature range they are being exposed to is 0 degrees C or above. Mineral wool panels can be used but are not ideally suited for minus temperature environments, due to the poorer insulating properties of the core when compared to other materials.
Insulation Core
Mineral wool insulation is a high quality resin bonded slab non–combustible core material, with a predominantly vertically fibre structure. If exposed to fire, mineral wool products will not release dense smoke into the atmosphere and will with stand temperatures in excess of 1000°C. Mineral wool core panels also give a superior acoustic performance. This is a CFC & HCFC free Zero ODP core material and also 100% recyclable. Panels are available with a core thickness ranging from 50mm to 200mm. GC Food Solutions personnel will help you specify which core thickness of panel is required dependant on panel Wall height required, ceiling panel span and fire rating to be achieved.Fire Certification
Mineral Wool insulation core panels are assessed and certified by LPCB and given LPS 1181 and LPS1208 FR30 to FR120 classification dependant on core thickness, also BS476 Part 22 up to 240 minutes ( 4 Hour fire rating). The steel facings of the panel are classified as having Class 1 Surface spread of flame to BS476 part 7 and Class 0 as defined by building regulations."Total Solutions for Temperature & Hygiene Control"
